Things to do while in Manor

East Metropolitan Park
Bring your sneakers, a Frisbee, or a fishing pole, East Metropolitan Park can handle all of it. This 273-acre park packs in an 18-hole disc golf course, multiple fishing ponds, a paved multi-use trail, picnic areas, and lots of space to spread out. Planning a family day? There are also playgrounds plus a swimming pool/wading pool area for warm-weather afternoons.

ShadowGlen Golf Club
ShadowGlen Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course that plays up to 7,174 yards, designed by Roy Bechtol and Randy Russell (opened in 2003). Expect rolling terrain, water features, and a really interesting layout from the first tee to the finish. Great option for a half-day outing that still feels like a “real” Austin-area course without heading into the big city.

J. Lorraine Ghost Town
For something totally different, swing by J. Lorraine Ghost Town, a Western-style “ghost town” set up for fun, just off US-290 in Manor. You’ll see Old West storefronts with activities that can include things like axe throwing, horseshoes, volleyball, and more. It’s part photo-op, part hangout, and very Texas in the best way.
